Baseball Baby Shower

A baseball theme for a baby boy is certainly not new but I thought the baby shower we hosted at church turned out too cute! So I thought I’d share.

I’d like to say this was all my idea but it was a group collaboration. Those are usually the ones that turn out the cutest though.

Let’s start with the bulletin board. The shower was at our church building and there is a bulletin board that needed to be spruced up. This is what my friend came up with.

For the table we had more baseball memorabilia and some great goodies.

Behind the table my friend hung antique pendants borrowed from a fanatic baseball fan friend of ours.

The tablecloth was denim. The ends were were tied off with bandanas.

Our goodies consisted of baseball cupcakes, baseball cookies, cracker jacks and peanuts.

For the cookies another friend used the roll out chocolate chip cookie dough. She used a circle cookie cutter to cut out the baseballs. She then baked, frosted and added the red stitching icing. Adorable!!

It was not your typical shower food but still fun! Since this was a “cake & punch” type of shower we did not have a lot of food. We did think that if you wanted to have more food you could use mini hotdogs and pickles to add some substance.

As for our punch we used but what else…..pop in glass bottles!

We had a variety of pop on hand. Coke, Root Beer, Crème Soda, Grape soda, Cherry Soda and Orange Soda. We actually found the glass bottle sodas at one of the dollar stores and Cracker Barrel. In order to save money we did not offer each guest their own bottle. We opened and poured a cup full of soda for our guests. We got 2-3 cups of soda out of one bottle. Love this idea!

We were all pleased with the way it turned out. The guests were impressed and we had one Happy Mama To Be.

Thanks for stopping by.
